Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) ❓

How do I create or edit my profile? To create your profile, simply download the UMeet app, sign up with your university email, and follow the profile setup process. You can add your name, degree, student type, hobbies, foods. To edit your profile, go to your profile icon and tap the "Edit Profile" button. From there, you can update your information.
How do recommendations and matching work? UMeet uses an algorithm that analyzes your interests, courses, and preferences to suggest potential connections. The more information you provide in your profile, the more accurate your matches will be. Our system prioritizes common interests, similar career goals, and complementary personalities to create meaningful connections.
How do I join or create an event? Create an event: Tap “+ Create Event” in the app and fill in the details (title, date/time, location, description). Choose invitees. Join an event: You cannot browse events. You join by accepting an invitation.
If you miss or dismiss the push notification, open the profile icon → Invitations to accept or decline.
Is my information private? UMeet takes your privacy seriously. Your personal information is only visible to other verified university students using the app. We never share your data with third parties.
